Born and raised in the Hudson Valley, Elizabeth spent much of her childhood in the woods and the library, devouring books one after the other and exploring all types of art and creativity, from sculpture and drawing to theater and dance. At the age of nine she began embarking on a stop-motion journey that eventually blossomed into a love of filmmaking. Elizabeth strives to tell stories that are raw but also imaginative, and implements a variety of techniques, such as 8mm film, digital graphics, and physical collage, to experiment with different themes. She is particularly drawn to the analysis and presentation of nostalgia, girlhood, queer identity, and the grotesque.
